Romford is well known as one of London’s most prominent metropolitan districts. It boasts one of East London’s largest town centres and holds a spot within the top 15 shopping localities in the South East. It features one of the capital’s longest established street markets dating back to 1247 as well as a significant leisure centre with two cinemas.

With such a flourishing and historic backdrop, it is little wonder so many businesses have decided to set up in the area, including a number of high-performing companies in the finance and business service sectors. It’s also an obvious choice for a multitude of retailers, high street services and leisure and entertainment providers who enjoy thriving relationships with the borough’s communities and visitors.

Over at London Riverside in the south of Havering, the area is the epicentre of the nationally recognised Thames Gateway growth zone. It’s expected that by 2025, the zone as a whole will have created 25,000 jobs and 20,000 new homes, with 4-5,000 of those new homes being constructed within Havering.

Havering is a well performing educational authority and has an excellent employment rate. Entrepreneurial spirit is something the borough has become well recognised for.
